INTERNET ACCESS IN LJUBLJANA
Wireless internet connection is widely accessible in Ljubljana. There is a public wireless network of Ljubljana available for free for one hour per day. You can find free WiFi in majority of hotels, bars, pubs and restaurants.
Public Wireless Internet in Ljubljana
You can use 60 minutes of WiFreeLjubljana network per day for free. Here are instructions on how to connect:
- Among your available and reachable wireless internet networks choose: WiFreeLjubljana.
- In your internet browser go to www.wifreeljubljana.si.
- There is an empty slot where you enter your phone number.
- You recieve an SMS with your code.
- Enter the code and you`re connected.
For extended access of Ljubljana free WiFi they offer 24-hour access for about 4 €, 7-day for 10 € and 30-day for 30 €.
Bars, Cafes, Restaurants and Hotels
To check your e-mails or to make your Facebook friends a bit envious by posting a photo of Ljubljana on you Facebook acount or Instagram for example, use free internet connection while sipping your coffee in a cafe or enjoying your dinner in a restaurant.
Big majority of hotels, bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants have WiFi available.
Eventhough their networks are usually locked, you will most often find password written in a visible place. If you cannot spot it, just ask a waiter.
Need a computer with an internet connection?
Although it seems self-evident that everybody owns a smart phone, a laptop or a tablet nowdays, it is not always the case. If you, dear reader, are among the rebels and you urgently need a computer with an access to the internet, please find some options below.
STA Travel Cafe
STA Travel Café is located in the centre of the city in Ajdovscina Square. Their wireless signal is free and can be caught in some of the other bars in the square as well.
They also have two computers to use. Open every day but Sundays until midnight.

LP Bar
There is one computer free to use in the bar and the password is written on one of the walls, while you can always get it from the waiter as well.

Slovenian Tourist Info Center
Beside bike rental, numerous brochures and information on daily trips, Slovenian Tourist Information Center has an internet corner with a couple of computers. However, usage is not free of charge, it should still be 1 € per 30 minutes.
The office is located at the open market, opposite to the Oxford Centre, Puppet Theater and funicular running to the Castle of Ljubljana.
